The Village Quilter will host a Charity Sew on Monday, October 9th from 12:00 - 3:00 pm at the shop in Mt. Holly. This will support the Moorestown area Quilters Guild ongoing community service project to provide placemats for the Burlington County Meals on Wheels program. Placemats are given to MOW clients on birthdays and other special events.
If you would like to come and sew at the shop, please register in advance, as spaces are limited. You will need to bring your sewing machine.  Free patterns and placemat kits (until they run out!) will also be available if you would like to sew at home. You may return completed placemats to the shop, and they will be forwarded to the guild.
This is a great way to use up some of your leftover fabrics and batting, while practicing your piecing and quilting skills. And, best of all, you will bring a smile to a senior citizen - they just love the placemats!
