Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service

When: Jan 21, 2019
11:00 am
Where: The Village Quilter
Details: Joyce has made the classroom available for the MLK Day of Service to make pillowcases for Ryan's Case for Smiles. This will be a "drop in" event where you can come and use the shop sewing machines to make a pillowcase. We will have kits available at a special price, or you may use your own 100% cotton fabrics. Use the link above for more information about requirements for the pillowcases, and directions for making them with the "hot dog" method.
As we have limited space an just a few machines, please call the shop to register. The event will run from 11:00 am - 4:00 pm, but you only need to stay the time required to make your pillowcase.

If you would like to make a pillowcase at home to donate, please follow the link for the guidelines - be sure to wash the pillowcase as directed and put it in a gallon-size zip-lock bag. These instructions are important ans many of the children receiving the pillowcases have compromised immune systems.
