Enjoy these pictures from our recent club meetings. We have been working on improvisational piecing, using curves in our designs and trying surface design techniques of sun printing and marbling fabric. Several members have made house quilts for the House Quilt Project sponsored by quilt artist Jamie Fingal. We've made fabric covered and embellished rock and shell talismans and experimented with recycled tea bag papers in our work. Show and tell is always fun, with projects ranging from traditional to experimental. Becca shared an international exchange quilt from Africa. Members also share other talents with the group, such as Gretchen's exquisite handmade baskets, Natalie's wonderful miniatures and Lorri's furniture reupholstering. Such a creative group!
